Extremely Nice Looking Speaker Cabinets and Sound Quality! Found shelf mounted in recent estate sale. Production dates 1964 thru 1969. Beautiful Early model, uses same tweeter as AR3 and midrange from AR4. Early Woofer in perfect condition and adhesives intact. All Drivers are original and Matched. Tweeter and MID Controls (ORIGINAL AR) were disassembled, the contacts polished, the spring tension adjusted, and an-anti corrosion silicone applied, now perfect again. New High Grade Audio Caps installed, originals were out of tolerance. Woofers were sealed with Vintage AR cloth surround sealer to ensure Acoustical Integrity of Cabinets and Speakers. Tweeters and MID Range Drivers are operating to spec. Speakers have been thoroughly tested and sound fantastic. This is one of my favorite AR speakers. Early AR2AX’s are truly exceptional. ORIGINAL EARLY VINTAGE Grills and Badges are in very good condition. Cabinets are in extremely nice condition, please review pictures. There are minor scratches on one top and one bottom. Hardly noticeable from afar. Please see pictures for your review and acceptance. Technically this set of speakers sound great and will operate reliably long term.
