Vintage Classic Acoustic Research AR-1 Speaker. This is the original AR1 speaker. It has been with my family for many decades. As you can see with the photos it is well taken care of. Others have their cabinet scratched up like crazy while this one is in very nice shape. I just tested it recently with the receiver and got the electronic pulse sound out of the main speaker in the bottom. And with an adjustment of the knob on the back I got the top to work as well. I’m not a complete expert at all on the speakers and are functionality. I myself have never used this speaker to play any music on. The condition is as follows. Everything to my knowledge is original in this piece has never been inspected or any parts have been replaced. The back sticker shows some where as you can see to do its age and has a rip on the bottom as shown. All the back knobs are intact and are in a fantastic shape as you can see in the photos. The front grill that covers the entire centern isn’t really nice shape and there’s no tears in it. After many years you can see the right side has come a bit loose from being talked and can probably be easily repaired since it’s just probably a glue job. The cabinet as you can see from the side shots front and the top are in fantastic shape with limited wear. These are becoming more and more difficult to find as time goes by. Not just because of the rarity and their age, but also people use them still and that causes wear and tear. So to find one that’s cleaned that has not been used in decades is difficult. Please ask all questions in advance. I will try to answer them for you. If you request more photos that is no problem. I will have the box reinforced best I can.
