Up for sale an awesome set of vintage 1969 AR 2ax 3 way speakers. They will be lightly sanded and sealed with some restore a finish or danish oil. I left the grills. They were original as they were glued to the cabinets and were quite an effort to take them off. I also installed new Dayton/Bennic film capacitors to replace the ancient capacitors which opened up the tweeter and mid range significantly. The Low and on these are quite remarkable. I was amazed as I was listening to some Miles Davis this evening. After much research I chose to bypass the troublesome potentiometers aka controls for the mid and tweeter. They essentially now run full You can adjust on your receiver if need be. I ran them flat and they sounded great. These are heavy speakers. If you are into vintage east coast sound from the famous Henry Kloss these are fir you. I have restored several vintage speakers to include AR-4x, Klh model 17, 5, and 6, Dynaco A10 and A25, Polk monitor 5 and 7, Advents, Wharfedale w70 and W25, etc. These are great sounding and a collectors item. I woukd keep them. Just have too many abd running out of room in the workshop. Please ask any questions.
