Up for sale is a very nice pair of AR AR3/AR3A speakers with the original AR stands. I believe these are the Oiled Walnut cabinets. These started out as AR3’s but went through the AR3A upgrade in 1971, by AR. The speakers sound fantastic, most of the time. At times there seems to be a cutoff or drop in output. These probably need a complete check up as they approach 60 years old. I have them running through a Luxman R-1050 (not included) which has had issues of it’s own, so I really don’t know exactly where any problems lie. The cabinets are overall in very nice condition. One of the cabinets (Top) does have some noticeable blemishes, see close up photos for details. These will play very nicely as is, but I would say these are a great candidate for a complete restoration to there original state.
