If you want to use the original controls as used in AR3 during the classic speaker years, these are what you are looking for. These controls were made by. And have come out of original AR3 speakers. The AR3a used a different style control that are more readily available elsewhere. Often times when the midrange and tweeter stops working in the classic AR3 model it is not because the rare, expensive drivers (the tweeter or midrange) have failed but because the controls have become so burned or corroded over the decades that they have simply stopped sending the signal through to the speaker. If by turning the original controls in your speaker you are able to hear intermittent sound that is a hopeful sign that the speakers are still good and the problem is in the defective, corroded controls. Properly functioning controls alone will not “fix” defective drivers however. The price is for the pair…. Both, not for each working potentiometer. You pay the asking price and you get two controls. I wish I had more of these to offer but this is all I have of this style at the moment.
