A pair of grilles for Acoustic Research AR-3 Speakers. Covered in imported Irish linen with the little slubs (thick threads) running in the cloth. Frames patterned from an original AR-3 grille. Included are a pair of our replica logo plates. These will replace the plastic frames that often broke and also the newer production fiber board. We have been finding AR-3a speakers manufactured using AR-3 cabinets and vise versa. The best way to identify an actual AR-3 cabinet is to check the molding that holds the grille. The AR-3 has slots all the way around and the grille slips into these slots. The AR-3a does not have these slots. Our grille sits just inside the opening without bending to fit it into these slots. Bending the grille often resulted in braking of the grille. This will not fit AR-3a cabinets. Just attach a note that you want the AR-3 Logo Plates not the AR-3a. Logo plates are brass with laser engraved black lettering identical to the original AR. Cloth is a little lighter than what we were providing years ago as it is no longer available. Two logos will be provided for a pair of grilles. Grilles may be glued in place.
