VINTAGE ACOUSTIC RESEARCH AR-XA TURNTABLE. The AR-XA is one of the most important turntables ever designed and manufactured. Edgar Villchur, when he stated knew little to nothing about sonic characteristics, residence or designed. His idea and perspective of simplicity, and minimizing the design as to not interfere with the sound changed everything about turntables from the moment it was produced. As simplistic as the AR-XA was and is, it continues to out perform newer turntables costing much, much more. The TT has been benched and found to be in very good working condition. The plinth is in good shape as well. Includes a new head shell belt cork mat and Ortofon E cartridge with new OFC wires. The head shell is a new design, see. The TT sounds great. There is no dust cover.
