Up for sale is a used pair of Acoustic Research AR3a speakers with original Alnico magnet woofers. The speakers have been fully refurbished, new grill cloth, new capacitors, new potentiometers(L-pads), proper sealant applied to woofer surround, and replaced rock wool with new insulation. All parts sourced from Vintage-AR’s store. The cabinets are in great condition overall, the bottoms do have some old paint that stuck to the cabinets from the shelf where these sat on for nearly their entire life. It is hard to find a pair in this condition. The speakers sound great and are in fully working condition. Due to the size and weight of the speakers I can only sell them locally. I’m located 1 hour south of Syracuse NY and 1 Hour north of Binghamton NY. I’m also willing to meet half way(up to 50-75 miles).
