Vintage Acoustic Research AR9 4-Way Loudpeakers Very Clean Fully Tested. The AR9 was a large floor-standing, vertical, 4-way, 4-ohm loudspeaker with two 12-inch acoustic-suspension woofers, an 8-inch acoustic-suspension lower-midrange speaker, a 1½-inch upper-midrange dome speaker and a ¾-inch dome tweeter. Dimensions were 52 ¾”H x 15″W x 15 13/16D with a net weight of 130 lbs. And the tower configuration eliminated most room-placement issues found with conventional speaker designs. The crossover frequencies chosen for the speaker were 200 Hz, 1200 Hz and 7000 Hz. Well within the safe-operating range of each driver. This listing includes one Very Clean Overall PAIR of Vintage Acoustic Research AR AR9 4-Way Floorstanding Loudspeakers with all of the original grill covers as shown. Both of these speakers have been fully tested; and they sound very good! // All of the components appear to be in proper working order with no known issues. Both main front grill covers, and the (4) smaller lower side facing grills are original, intact, and have clean grill cloth with no tears or stains. Both AR Grill Badges are also present. All of the foam on the (6) surrounds appears to have been replaced not too long ago. The wood veneer cabinets are also in clean overall condition with no missing veneer or any major damage.
