Hello & welcome to the opportunity to own a pair of original AR-LST speakers (or all 4). Yes I have 2 pair available. LISTING IS FOR ONE PAIR AS SEEN IN PICS, FULLY FUNCTIONING, ORIGINAL, AND READY TO PLUG N PLAY! ONE OWNER since new. At the ripe age of 7 this became my first stereo & began my addiction to quality sound. Always respectfully used, only by my father and myself, never abused! The system was used for about 9 years and then sat quietly in a living room until 1997 when I had a listening space that could do the speakers justice. Around 2010 I had the crossover capacitors upgraded and new foam surrounds placed on the large bass drivers, after testing the speakers sat mostly unused. As you may guess from my photo I have too many large sets of speakers, can’t enjoy them all, these must go to a new home. The oiled walnut cabinets are in the best shape on the pair I show in pics, set #2 have a bit more cabinet wear (UV mostly) and can be nicely refinished if one is careful with the veneer. At the time these speakers, driven by Crown with vinyl as the source, were the most incredible thing I had heard, and remained this way until I spent a fortune and moved up the audiophile ladder (or down the rabbit hole) whichever the reader prefers. The AR Laboratory Standard Transducer is designed for those laboratory and commercial applications that require conveniently repeatable, accurately known spectral energy profiles, including one flat profile extending from 30Hz to 20 kHz. The AR LST uses a 12 inch acoustic suspension woofer, four 1 1/2 inch mid range hemispherical radiators and four 3/4 inch hemispherical tweeters. The individual speakers are identical with those of the AR-3A system. Crossover frequencies are 575 and 5000Hz. 1 pair of AR-LST speakers & many many years of beautiful sound whether low or high volume.
