Acoustic research ar3 original speakers. Speakers sound great but some concerns here:first I have had the cabinets sanded down and restained and look great, but the wood had some moisture swelling and does not have that smooth feel to the touch. But they came out nice. Also one midrange driver had been replaced with a 3a midrange driver. Now I rebuilt the level controls and removed most of the corrosion. All 4 controls work now but have dead spots. I can even include the old midrange driver. I tested both speakers separately and the one with the original 3 midrange driver has some distortion.
