This is a fully restored beautiful sounding set of Acoustic Research’s M6. These speakers had the typical deteriorated finish. They were stripped down completely refinished top to bottom with cabinet grade coating. They’re in a matte finish that I’m quite fond of but they can be buffed to be high gloss if you desire to do so. The cabinets were sealed and all the joints re-glued internally. The interior eight inch drivers were removed and refoamed. The deteriorated center caps were replaced on the mid-range speakers and both titanium tweeter diaphragms were replaced as well. These are extremely accurate beautiful sounding speakers and a beautiful example of what they once were. I’ve seen a couple restorations and I have yet to see a set that looks as nice as these.
