Acoustic Research AR-1 pair with Altec 755A drivers. Hard to find and in good condition overall. The Altec 755A measure almost identical as you can see in the photos. They sound incredible along with the big woofer. The cabinets were nicely refinished prior to my ownership, and the grills were redone as well. The grills are stained but otherwise in ok shape. One cabinet has a veneer crack several inches long on top that I tried to photograph. Perhaps you’ll want to refinish or just touch up or enjoy them as is. A prior owner thoughtfully scribed what appears to be their Social Security # in the back of each cabinet yikes! I covered each with blue tape in the photos but didn’t want to do a permanent fix by sanding it away. You can do that, of course, when they are yours. Again, these are good looking speakers–From the listening seat, I think they are extraordinarily attractive! I’ve been in the hobby for decades and share your passion. While these are not perfect, they look far better than most other pairs I’ve seen. Cheers, DougI’ve added photos of Serial Numbers from back of each speaker.
