This is a nice pair of all original Acoustic Research AR3 speakers in oiled walnut. They are matched pair with sequential serial numbers. See close up photos of the paperwork pasted to the backs of the speakers. They come with original grill cloths and AR badges. The cabinets have a few small dings along the edges, but nothing major. They are in remarkable condition for their age. Both speakers work and produce sound when hooked up to a stereo system. However, they sound a bit muddy and the treble and bass controls on the crossover don’t seem to impact the sound much when adjusted. My suspicion is that some of the capacitors on the crossover have expired and need to be replaced for the speakers to operate to their full potential. This is common for speakers of this vintage that are still in all original condition. Let me know if you have any questions.
