I do remember that I’ve only use these guys for about 6 months or so now. These are my second pair of AR 92’s. My first pair had blown out drivers so I didn’t get a chance to listen to them to their full extent. Now that I’ve gotten all that sour feeling out of my system, it’s time to part ways. This pair of AR 92 is second ownership (2nd being me). The condition: All drivers are still beautiful, and I recall the last owner telling me this pair has never receive a re-foaming or tampering with it’s surrounds. I still listen to them as they are, and nothing is out of place, at least not yet. The cabinet itself has seen better days, although they aren’t in the best of shape, they are still at least 8/10. There are nicks at the edges of the cabinet and tiny scratches that aren’t visible unless you plan on kissing every side of these speakers. Grills are still in excellent shape, with their signature AR 92 badges still attached. Both speakers are NOT consecutive numbers. Sadly the previous owner replaced one, for what reason I do not remember. Left speaker is 018618, and the Right is 018452. That’s about it for this portion. The performance: Like most of my equipment, these guys are in flawless performing condition. There are no white noises, scratches or pops when listening to these guys. Even if the woofers look small, they do pack a heavy punch when you hit low bass freq. Similar to other AR “90” series, they share the same Frerro liquid cooled tweeters and mids, which produces musical clarity that makes you smile. I mainly listen to classic rock when I hook these fellas up, so they are not abused or any of the sort. Several people have ask me to take out the drivers and take images for them to verify originality. Normally I would oblige to such tedious requests, however, for this occasion I can not. Because the original drivers are covered with the foam placement, and tearing that off would in turn ruin whatever original beauty my speakers have. I apologize to those who want me to tear off the foam cover, under natural conditions where the foam is still in perfect shape, I would gladly take them off their velcro attachments but as of now the foam is quite sensitive and would break if pulled incorrectly.
