Here is a very nice pair of AR3 Acoustic Research speakers. These were owned by a USAF fighter pilot and were very well cared for.. He mostly listened to polka, classical and country music. He lived in a fabulous house and had very nice electronics. The speakers sound excellent, the midrange and tweeter controls work. The grills have never been off. I carefully worked on one corner in an attempt to remove them, but stopped because they are still factory sealed and felt that pulling them off was likely to break the grills. I just loosened one corner and stopped. I can see that they are factory glued. These have always been stored in good conditions. If I can’t sell them I may try to remove the grills but like to give someone a shot at them without taking them apart. Both speakers have serial numbers 68675. The cabinets are quite nice, there is one small ding in the lower rear one one speaker (see pics). There is a small stain on the top, very light where is looks as though a plant or dish was set – very minor (see pic). The bottoms have a few light marks but quite nice for bottoms. There are few other very small blemished but very minor. The paperwork is all present. This costs a little extra but well worth it. The speakers weigh 52 pounds unpacked each.. They will have to packaged in separate boxes. If you want to pick them up I live in Spokane, Washington State (Western USA). So here they sit. I cannot send these outside of the USA.
