TOTALLY RESTORED PAIR OF ACOUSTIC RESEARCH AR-LST SPEAKERS by VINTAGE-AR. THESE ARE EXCEPTIONAL IN ALL WAYS. Our restoration objective is to return a pair of speakers to as like new condition as possible. They must perform to the original AR specifications and the cabinets must be suitable for display in your music room. We do not generally sell “as is” at VINTAGE-AR. We generally have a customer waiting for a pair of these. It’s been 3-4 years since we have listed a pair for sale. The woofers have new surrounds and were replaced by AR later in life. The mids are original to this cabinet. As LST tweeters often fail to old age, two are original to these cabinets. Six are New Old Stock replacements from our inventory. Late production with rear terminal mids and tweeters. AR never made an attempt to keep pairs sequential. The crossover capacitors are the late production variety and test fine. We never had to replace these. The grille frames and cloth are our new reproductions. The logo plates, Spectral Balance Control plates and control knobs are excellent. The cabinets have been completely refinished, lightly sanded, stained, new oil finish applied and hand rubbed. A few scratches remain on the bottoms. Otherwise, the cabinets are perfect, with nice sharp corners and hand rubbed to a silky finish. We have taken critical pictures so you can judge the condition yourself. Extensively tested with test equipment and a music source. You will be impressed. From AR: The AR Laboratory Standard Transducer was designed for professional applications.
