Worlds first production dome tweeter. And dome midrange drivers, and a 12-inch cone woofer. I had them looked over by a well-known restoration shop in Chicago…. And was advised that these speakers are 100% original. In my opinion they have been well cared for over the years. The Walnut wood-veneered cabinets do have scratched and a few bumps and bruises. It looks as if Somebody has touched up some of the chips and scratches with walnut wood stain along with with furniture polish quite often in their 55+ years of life. The knit-cloth grills are intact but do have stains and some fray on the edges. The original AR Inc. Badges and “3” pins are still mounted. There is paint on the back of the cabinets as you can see in the photos…. Looks as if somebody was too lazy to move the speakers while painting a wall or ceiling. I have not attempted to clean or service the speakers in any great detail… I’ve simply wipe them off with a dust cloth and took these photos. The speakers do work…. But in order to live up to their full potential, I highly recommend these be professionally restored or gone through by a reputable place. Each cabinet is 25 inches tall, 14 inches wide, and 11.5 inches deep. Each cabinet weigh in at 47 pounds!! Each box is (52 Lbs).
