Our restoration objective is to return a pair of speakers to as like new condition as possible. Fully tested with test equipment and a music source. You will not be disappointed. Always used and stored in a home. All drivers original to these cabinets. Both alnico magnet woofers have their original cloth surrounds with no air leakage. Tweeters with strong outputs. All four level controls have been replaced with lifetime guaranteed controls. All crossover capacitors have been replaced with new, life time guaranteed capacitors. The grille frames are our strong Masonite replacement frames. The cloth is a replacement cloth that we use on all AR-3a speakers. Logo plates are new laser engraved plates manufactured for VINTAGE-AR. The #3 logo plate is a brass replica with the correct rear mounting pin. Both logos can be relocated for shelf mounting speakers. All original paper work remains on the rears. Serial numbers are 43061, 43008. Original AR control knobs and thumb nuts. The cabinets have been completely refinished, minor chips filled, lightly sanded, stained, new finish applied and hand rubbed. The walnut graining is stunning. The cabinets are now excellent, with nice sharp corners and hand rubbed to a silky finish. We have taken critical pictures of all sides, tops and bottoms so you can judge the condition yourself. Even the bottoms are near perfect. Factory boxes show some signs of moisture due to long term storage in a damp basment. These will give you many years of good service. The AR-3 utilizes a heavy 12 inch alnico magnet woofer, a 2 inch dome midrange and 1 3/8 inch hard dome tweeter. The AR-3 is a 4 ohm system and 25 watts r. Per channel minimum is recommended. It measures 14 x 25 x 11 3/8 inches and weighs 52 lbs. These will be double boxed with foam lining. We do not want anything to happen after all of our hard work. The free listing tool.
