Vintage AR (Acoustic Research) Model AR-4x The cabinets are in nice shape considering age, only minor scuffs/scratches as shown. I did not remove the cloth grills as they were not intended to be removed and I did not want to risk damage to them. Minor staining to the cloth as shown. I tested these on a low wattage modern Onkyo Receiver, I can tell these speakers are hungry for power, I maxed out the onkyo with no audible distortion, I would guess the foam surrounds are intact as they sounded very nice on the low end, however this is not definite. As with alot of these AR-4x’s… The tweeter control potentiometers need there contacts cleaned, the controls have to be worked around to get sound from the tweeters.
