One owner AR-3a speakers that were in my fathers system for the last 45 years. Hes downsizing so departing with these well cared for speakers. Non-smoking (forever) and pet free (for last 15 years) home. Used exclusively in a 2-channel system playing 90% classical and 10% rock at moderate volumes. He was adamant about not pushing the amplifier anywhere near clipping so these have never been overdriven. These are in great working order. I tested them against his new Sonus Faber bookshelf speakers and the AR-3as more than held their own. The sound across all frequencies was clear with no hum, driver issues, etc. All drivers, speaker bindings and pot switches appeared to work as intended. The top of one speaker has a minor ding in the wood at the front edge and a scratch. These are in great shape for their age. These will be carefully packed as recommended by a speaker refurbishing company that I looked up double boxed with the speaker drivers facing each other to avoid damage and plenty of padding. They are heavy at 53 pounds each so approximately 110 pounds double boxed. Please specify if you prefer separate packages or single boxing. Please specify if this is desired and which location. PS – Just noticed that my brother turned the badges the wrong way and had the speakers upside down when taking the pictures. These sat on the shelf on their sides in my dad’s system.
