Vintage AR-2A Speakers with close serial numbers from a 1 owner collection. I was told that the speakers were serviced in 2008 and have had less than 10 minutes of play time since then. Apparently the capacitors were replaced, cones glued and 1 center treated, mid pots replaced and new grille cloth. Upon initial testing both speakers had non functioning tweeters. I moved the High Pots on the back and I was able to get one to come back. On the speaker that I was unable to recover the tweeter one mid-range driver appears stuck and does not produce sound. All of the other drivers are working. One woofer solder connection to the cone appears loose. The grilles are in fair condition, one frame has creases on a thin part but still holds together. The cabinets have scratches. I have not opened these to verify service. Great candidates for restoration. Even though the above mentioned issues these speakers still sound excellent!
