This is my second pair of these AR91 speakers. I would keep them, but my collection needs to be reduced. They have incredible bass presence throughout the entire low frequency range from deep lows to mid bass. I have heard virtually every 12 inch 3 way AR speaker from the1960s all the way up to the early 1990s. 91, 58s, 58b, 11 and 3a. This 12 inch 3 way is the most overall bass Ive heard out of any of the 3 ways. It rivals some 4way speakers with the upper mid bass presence. If you know anything about this line of AR speakers you know how crystal clear the tweeters are and very natural the mid range perform. All the special foam is still there with the acoustic blanket. The woofer surrounds were just replaced using the shim method and new sealed dust cap. They are sealed properly for that famous acoustic suspension to work properly. The tweeter and higher mid capacitors have been replaced. I didnt have the rest of the caps in stock, but this was a helpful improvement. We can discuss afterwards. I have replaced the poly fill with fiberglass which enhanced the overall bass response similar to how the 3a and early AR11 speakers had. The cabinets are in very good condition. Please look at the pictures closely as they have been taken and decent lighting to show overall condition. They will come up even better with some TLC but I chose not to touch them so the winner can do the final cleaning. There are a few spots on the grille which have small holes in them, but this could easily be remedied with fresh grille cloth. My speakers have gone all over the world with no issues. As with any vintage electronics there is no warrantee implied but I can assure you that they have gone through extensive listening sessions to confirm proper operation. I have used Carver and Kenwood amplifiers with high power to confirm outstanding performance. They can be played with a quality receiver but really come to life with a high power amp.
