Vintage mid 70s Acoustic Research AR-11 speakers. These are designed specifically for crossovers. See the pictures of the larger new capacitors next to the cheesier original ones. They sound great and have that typical smooth and balanced AR sound. There are similar to the original AR-3 and AR-3a from the 1960s and use the same woofer/midrange/tweeter designs, but just updated. Nice adjustable vintage wood stands. These take the same grills as the AR-10pi and some other AR speakers from that time. All the grills were foam and all have usually all have deteriorated by now. The foam piece around the tweeter (Used to absorb reflected sound) are there but a bit worn. They peel off and you can get new ones to stick back on. JBL used similar foam parts for sound absorption on lots of their 1970’s speakers so this is not an uncommon part. Close Serial numbers too. Just a few miles off the 94 expressway.
