The speakers have new rubber surrounds fitted -see pictures. The mid range, high range and the bass are wonderful, bass is deep, tight and controlled, although very powerful. One of the best little speaker ever. It is thought the NS10 won out in the popularity stakes because of their highly identifiable white cone woofers. The AR18 has been described as a” Nearfield Monitor”. And so over the last twenty to thirty years the AR18 has achieved” cult” status as the must have of bookshelf sized.
