For your consideration, a pair of beautiful rare Acoustic Research AR-5 speakers in exceptional condition. These have oiled walnut European built cabinets built in the Netherlands. Very, very few small defects on the walnut veneer, which has been lightly sanded and re-oiled with hand rubbed finish. Note the stepped frame around the grille, which was popular in many early European speakers. Grille material is an acoustic tweed looking material in very fresh condition. No holes, rips or tears. Interior stuffing is fiberglass, not rock wool as used in many US built AR speakers. All the drivers are in perfect working condition and the woofer surrounds have recently been replaced. The tweeter and midrange potentiometers are in good shape, but have been bypassed to provide maximum sonic clarity. Hard to imagine a pair in better condition, unless they are new old stock.
