For Sale a matched pair of AR8S 2 way speakers. Great for Audiophile listening or Music Production. These are wonderful speakers for this asking price. They are extremely refined and also have a surprisingly good bass response. These are very capable bookshelf speakers giving lots of detail presence and musicality with a very refined reference like presentation. These were often used in professional recording studios back in the 80’s and 90’s as nearfield monitors for which they have a terrific reputation. Amazing sounding refurbished Acoustic Research AR8S bookshelf speakers. This model is the smaller version of the much sought after AR18S, using the same drivers in a smaller cabinet, and have a similar punchy, dynamic sound. They are also a matched pair with identical serial numbers. The original drivers have refurbished with new foam surrounds. Beware the ones for sale that replace the drivers with copy replacements, they are not the same. There are minor marks, a small chip on a top edge, sum scratches on the bottom (see pictures) but the cabinets are good, and overall these are one of the better sets you will find. Type: 2 way, 2 driver loudspeaker system. Frequency Response: 48Hz to 25kHz. Recommended Amplifier: 15 to 60W. Bass: 1 x 200mm acoustic suspension. Tweeter: 1 x 32mm pressure.
