AR4X speakers in this condition and this old do not come up very often. The AR4X was in production from 1965 to 1973. Best guess this set was 1965. This is one of the oldest speakers in my collection and represents a real milestone in AR4X history. The condition in all aspects is exceptional for a set this old. New CAPS, reconditioned pots to original performance standards. The woofers installed are the AR4 Woofer #1404. From my experience with AR4X’s serial numbers 40, xxx to 51, xxx had the 1404 woofer and the new 4X tweeter. Grills, cabinets and badges are in fantastic condition. Do some research to see what folks say about this older collectible model. Technically this set is accurate and will provide years of enjoyment.
