Acoustic Research AR-1 Speakers (late’50s). This sale is for a nice pair of Acoustic Research AR-1 vintage speakers. Drivers are in excellent condition, they sound fabulous and are in excellent shape. They do have the famous 12″ woofers and 8″ Altec 755A drivers by Altec Lansing. Cabinets have some nicks, scratches and blemishes here and there. One cabinet has a loose veneer portion on top. They are close serial numbers # 8344 and # 9381 (late’50s). Oil capacitors have been replaced with new proper ones, as well as backside potentiometers. Original AR brass logo badges are both present.
