Up for sale we have this amazing vintage pair of Hard to AR Acoustic Research speakers made for Heath by Heathkit model AS-2A Speakers. These speakers are in overall good physical and working condition with few scuffs and scratches from normal use and age. The tweeters, mid ranges, and woofers are not dented in. The cabinet grill-cloth molding and grill cloth itself were different for the standard AR-2, but the end result conformed to specifications by AR, and sounded exactly like the factory version. Incidentally, the early AR-2s also used marine plywood for their cabinets, which was common practice for the day. Here is the link for you to copy and paste to access the owner’s manual.
