Acoustic Research Speakers AR-3 Vintage UNTOUCHED One Owner w/Original Receipt. Recently acquired AR-3 speakers from original owner. All in excellent condition and ready for a new home. Note- I will add more photos and do my best to describe condition. I was able to test and determined the pots will likely need a good cleaning or possible replacement. As they sat I could only get sound from the woofers, but when I pushed in on the pot dials I was able to hear all drivers and they sound AWESOME! I know these pots have issues aging and fiberglass dust getting on the pot contacts so that will need attention. I’m not going to remove the grills and the glue holding the original fabric has let loose in a couple small areas. I’ve looked thru with a flashlight and all looks great and cloth surrounds for woofers are complete. Again these are untouched as delivered from the factory. You will receive the original order receipt with corresponding serial numbers for each speaker. Labels are beautiful and fully intact along with grill badges. I will add more photos 3/28 and if you have any questions I’ll do my best to answer as I’m not an expert in vintage audio.
